How the Calculator Works

Same starting rate for all three: ₹3,500 per room per night for 2 guests.
Homeland Stay: your group books the entire private floor: 3 air-conditioned bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 AC living room, a fully equipped kitchen, 3 side-open balconies with garden view and a private entrance. It is never shared with strangers, even if you book for 2 or 4 guests. The first 2 guests are covered by the ₹3,500 rate; each extra guest adds ₹1,500 per night, up to 9 guests. No GST on direct bookings, because Homeland Stay operates below the ₹20 lakh GST registration threshold. Platform fee and cleaning fee are nil on direct bookings.
One guest: the minimum charge at Homeland Stay is the 2-guest rate of ₹3,500 per night.
3–4 star hotel: one room for every 2 guests, plus GST on each room (5% up to ₹7,500 a night).
Standard homestay on a booking platform: one room for every 2 guests, plus the platform's fee (about 15%), a cleaning fee and GST.
Meals (optional): hotel and platform guests eat at restaurants, which charge 5% GST on food. At Homeland Stay you cook in your own kitchen and pay only for groceries.
