Why There Is No GST on Homeland Stay Direct Bookings
In India, a service business must register for GST only when its yearly turnover crosses ₹20 lakh (the limit in Gujarat). Homeland Stay operates below this threshold, so it is not GST-registered and does not add GST to direct bookings. The quote you receive is the amount you pay. If you book through Airbnb, Booking.com or another platform, the platform adds GST and its own service fees as per its rules. Booking direct avoids both. For each payment, Homeland Stay gives you a system generated payment receipt/Invoice for your routine expense claim, if any. As it is not GST-registered, it cannot issue a GST invoice.
